The name " Women's Cialis" is a non-official name that is sometimes used when talking about Cialis (tadalafil) with regard to women. Cialis is a prescription drug approved for certain male health conditions, but it does not specifically mean that it is used to treat female sexual dysfunction. Tadalafil is a member of the PDE5 inhibitor family of medications. It works mostly by helping blood flow in response to sexual arousal. It has been studied in females along with other PDE5 inhibitors, but the findings do not allow Cialis to be approved for general treatment of female sex disorders. Females wishing to use tadalafil should consult their doctors to find out the causes of their symptoms. Sexual problems can have multiple causes such as hormonal changes, medication effects, partner relations, stress, or possible diseases. Tadalafil may also produce side effects like headache, redness in the upper part of the body (flushing), indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, and dizziness. It dangerously interacts with nitrate medications; therefore, medical counseling is important before taking it.
